Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships is one of the most exciting scholarship programs. This award is designed to recognize outstanding students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievements, creativity, leadership, and a strong commitment to their communities.
Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships
The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships at the University of Toronto offer an exceptional opportunity for outstanding international students to study at a top university in a vibrant, multicultural city. Eligibility
-
an international student (i.e. a non-Canadian requiring a study permit);
-
enrolled in your final year of senior secondary school in 2024/2025 or have graduated no earlier than June 2024
-
beginning your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2025 (students already attending post-secondary studies cannot be considered; students starting their post-secondary studies in January 2025 at another post-secondary institution cannot be considered).
Award Value
The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships will cover tuition, books, incidental fees, and full residence support for four years. The scholarship is tenable only at the University of Toronto for first-entry, undergraduate programs. Each year approximately 37 students will be named Lester B. Pearson Scholars.
Application Process

Students receive a nomination from their school. High schools not already contacted/verified are asked to submit an application to participate in our program, available here. High schools who have participated in a previous year will receive their nomination access starting July 1, 2024.

Students apply to study at the University of Toronto by October 18, 2024 in order to begin their studies in September 2025. Please note that students will be considered for the Pearson Scholarship for their first choice of program at U of T. While students may apply to several programs and may receive admission to them all, the Pearson Scholarship, if awarded, would be to their first choice of program at U of T at the time our scholarship decisions are made.

Once we have received a nomination and the student has applied to the University, the student can complete the online Lester B. Pearson Scholarship application by November 8, 2024. Students will receive a private link to the scholarship application when they have been successfully nominated by their school.

All necessary documentation must be submitted online by November 8, 2024.

Waterloo University
Scholarships for International Students
Waterloo University offers more than 170 scholarships for international students, ranging from $1,000 to $40,000.
We'll automatically consider you for most of our scholarships, including our Merit and President’s scholarships which range from $1,000 to $5,000. However, there are some scholarships which require an application, including some of the ones listed below.
Scholarship
International Student Entrance Scholarship - 20 scholarships valued at $10,000 each.
All Programs, Application not required.
Faculty of Engineering International Student Entrance Scholarships - Up to 20 valued at $10,000 each
All Engineering program except Architecture, Application not required.
Faculty of Mathematics Global Scholarships - Up to 10 valued at $12,000 to $40,000, Spread equally over eight academic terms.
Most programs in the Faculty of Mathematics, except Software Engineering or Computing and Financial Management.
Must maintain a minimum 80% average and take five courses each academic term to receive payments after first year.
Application deadline - February 14, 2025.
Faculty of Science International Student Scholarships –15 scholarships of $25,000 to $80,000.
Most programs in the Faculty of Science.
10 scholarships – $80,000 total (renewable, $20,000/year for four years)
5 scholarships – $25,000 each.
To be eligible, you must be an international (visa) student who has applied for admission to an undergraduate program in the Faculty of Science. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic achievement, the impact a scholarship will have on your studies, and what motivates you to become a scientist.
Scholarships are awarded only after a student has received an offer of admission to a Faculty of Science program.
Application deadline - February 14, 2025.
Contest-based scholarships
To be considered, you must be a current high school student admissible to the Faculty of Mathematics. Scholarship decisions are based on a combination of averages, the Admissions Information Form, and math contest results. You are strongly recommended to write one or both of our math contests: the Euclid Mathematics Contest and/or the Canadian Senior Mathematics Contest.
Entrance Scholarships - Contest(s) are strongly recommended.
The Faculty of Mathematics awards 200 entrance scholarships in values of:

University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship

Award description

Offered annually to undergraduate international students entering first year in any undergraduate degree in the upcoming fall term who have satisfied the university's English Language Proficiency requirement. Renewable in the second, third and fourth year at the University of Calgary, provided recipients achieve a GPA of 2.60 or more over a minimum of 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms and continue to pay an international differential tuition fee as an international student.
