Acceptance usually comes first
Many entrance scholarships are considered after you apply for admission. If awarded, they often appear with or shortly after your admission offer.
Most awards are partial
- Common entrance awards may range from about CAD $1,000 to $10,000
- Full-tuition awards exist but are rare and very competitive
- Awards often depend on grades, leadership, program, or country of citizenship
- Scholarships should reduce cost, not replace full financial planning
Watch for red flags
- Legitimate scholarships do not require agent fees
- Be careful with third-party promises of guaranteed funding
- Use official school or government sources to confirm awards
