Letter of Acceptance from a Designated Learning Institution

Provincial Attestation Letter where required

Proof of funds, often a GIC plus first-year tuition

Biometrics and medical exam where applicable

The attestation letter (PAL)

Most diploma and bachelor's applicants now need a Provincial Attestation Letter with their study-permit application.

Master's and PhD students at public universities are exempt as of January 2026 and can apply as soon as they have an offer.
